God told me not to celebrate my 50th birthday' - TB Joshua explains why he didn't celebrate Posted: 08 Jul 2013 10:36 AM PDT The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations turned 50 on June 12th and shunned all forms of celebration put together by his church members, choosing instead to celebrate by communicating with God at the 'mountains'. He explains why: "There was a divine message to me to shun all activities on my 50th. I don't act if I don't get the call. There's a need to keep one's life in prayer. What I need now is more commitment and time with God and not celebrating. I will only celebrate when I'm 60. That is when I will forget about 50. Even the little activity put together by my church members, they know they were not celebrating Mr T.B Joshua rather Prophet T.B Joshua and it is their divine duty to do so. |

Actress Toyin Aimakhu Marries Her Small Boy Lover Today Posted: 08 Jul 2013 09:48 AM PDT Yoruba actress, Toyin Aimakhu has proved all doubting dudes wrong as she took her fine boy looking-sexy lover to Ikoyi Registry on Monday, July 8, 2013, to seal the deal... I hear she's already pregnant for the boy so there was no reason wasting time to avoid future "wahala". What can I say other than to wish them happy married life?! At least, marrying a younger man is better than giving birth and not knowing the "real" papa! |
Pastor Tunde Bakare Condemns Suspension Of John & Love Kumuyi Posted: 08 Jul 2013 09:20 AM PDT Pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly has condemned the suspension of John and Love Kumuyi from the church. Here is what he said in a new interview; I personally did not see what they have done wrong. A man is entitled to his own authority in his own home.1st Peter Chapter 3. A wife should dress to please the husband and not the members of the church or public. It's sheer wickedness to the couple, they should leave them to enjoy their honeymoon. They should not squeeze them to the modus operandi of a particular organization. I did not see anything wrong in the wedding. The bride was not naked or dressed inappropriately and the groom didn't. Esther the queen was beautifully dressed in the bible to gain the king's attention. They should not make mountain out of a molehill. I was in the Deeper Life Bible Church for five years and nobody compelled me to dress the way I dressed. My wife was with me in the church though we weren't married then. She wears earrings and dresses nicely. All this talk about this couple should stop. |
DON'T CALL ME FOR A SHOW IF YOU DO NOT HAVE N5 MILLION - WIZKID Posted: 08 Jul 2013 08:23 AM PDT International singer Ayo "Wizkid" Balogun has finally opened up on the recently reported UNILAG fraud case. He also talked about his relationship with EME and his new album, he also confirmed that he replaced his damaged car with a new one, he further more stated that him and his crew don't collect cheap money.. INTERVIEW BELOW: What really happened between you and the UNILAG students. You were accused of duping them? By now, I think all is clear that there are some people parading themselves as either Wizkid or his managers. The unfortunate incident regarding the UNILAG students is a case of mistaken identity where people fell victim to some unscrupulous elements who impersonated me or my representatives. The same people, as we have come to know, went as far as creating fake accounts in my name to dupe people. How did you come about the UNILAG palaver? Basically, the police just called us to inform us of the development. We can't really give full details because we were invited to come to the police station and we went as law abiding citizens. When we got there, we gave our own statement as well as the students. But we really can't say anything now until the police have done their proper investigations. But with the details on ground, what we want you to know is that the so-called Wizkid the students have been contacting is fake and an impostor. It's really not from me or from anybody around me. What was your first reaction when you heard the news? I felt so bad. I just went to my Twitter account and tweeted the normal people to contact if you want to book a show with Wizkid. Let's be realistic. Everybody saw my hustle and watched me grow. When I dropped "Holla Your Boy", I was much younger and wasn't charging up to N5 million for shows. This is just playing out and it is simple. So, how much do you charge now? N5 million is okay for my show. But let's just put things right. It is so bad to my company's name and my name as well. That is why I decided to open up on the issue. There is this rumour that you are no longer with EME? I have just released an album in collaboration with Wizkid and EME. "Starboy" is my new company, EME is still there for me. "Starboy" is Wizkid's new record label and I have a couple of producers that are working with me in the new company. Definitely, we are working with a lot of people. Banky W and I, started way back. Our dreams have always been to build an empire, to help more people and give them that platform to showcase their talents. And all these dreams cannot happen only with one person. So, we have to branch out and reach out to more people. The industry is really big and there are more than 5 million kids out there roaming about the street and looking for a platform to showcase their talents. We want to give them the platform to do that. So, as you can see, everyone can contribute to that. Now that "Starboy" has started, we thank God, we are doing well. Anybody can start up something. That is just what we are trying to do with EME. Have you released the track list of your latest album? Yes, I have done that. I featured Olamide, D'banj and Banky W. The album is ready right now. But we are just putting some finishing touches to it. We will be having a listening party of the album very soon and we are going to announce that as soon as it is ready. We are planning for that. The album is coming out very strong and I thank God that I have put all the necessary things in place. I have a very strong belief that the album is going to win awards. There is this rumour making the rounds that you have replaced your accidented Porsche car. Is it true? Yes, that is absolutely true. We thank God for that. We thank Him for sparing my life. This is not the first time I've had such an encounter. That doesn't mean I am a freak, but I needed to be mobile. I was moving around with a taxi all through the duration of the accident which is not proper. |

Reasons Some Ladies Don't Have Enough Stuff In Their Breast Posted: 08 Jul 2013 06:05 AM PDT Why do so many ladies have difficulty making enough milk to breastfeed when they give birth? A new study by scientists at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Centre and the University of California Davis adds to their previous research implicating insulin's role in lactation success. The study is the first to describe how ladies boobs becomes highly sensitive to: Insulin during lactation. It is also the first study to get an accurate picture of how specific genes are switched on in the human mammary gland during lactation. The researchers used next generation sequencing technology, RNA sequencing, to reveal "in exquisite detail" the blueprint for making milk in the human mammary gland, according to Laurie Nommsen-Rivers, PhD, RD, IBCLC, a scientist at Cincinnati Children's and corresponding author of the study, published online in PLOS ONE, a journal of the Public Library of Science. Nommsen-Rivers' previous research had shown that for mothers with markers of sub-optimal glucose metabolism, such as being overweight, being at an advanced maternal age, or having a large birth-weight baby, it takes longer for their milk to come in, suggesting a role for insulin in the mammary gland. The new research shows how the mammary gland becomes sensitive to insulin during lactation. For a long time, insulin was not thought to play a direct role in regulating the milk-making cells of the human breast, because insulin is not needed for these cells to take in sugars, such as glucose. Scientists now, however, appreciate that insulin does more than facilitate uptake of sugars. "This new study shows a dramatic switching-on of the insulin receptor and its downstream signals during the breast's transition to a bio factory that manufactures massive amounts of proteins, fats and carbohydrates for nourishing the newborn baby," says Dr. Nommsen-Rivers. "Considering that 20 per cent of women between 20 and 44 years old are pre-diabetic, it's conceivable that up to 20 per cent of new mothers in the United States are at risk for low milk supply due to insulin dysregulation." Dr. Nommsen-Rivers and her colleagues were able to use a non-invasive method to capture mammary gland RNA — a chain of molecules that are blueprints for making specified proteins — in samples of human breast milk. They then created the first publicly accessible library of genes expressed in the mammary gland based on RNA-sequencing technology. This approach revealed a highly sensitive portrait of the genes being expressed in human milk-making cells. They discovered an orchestrated switching on and off of various genes as the mammary gland transitions from secreting small amounts of immunity-boosting colostrum in the first days after giving birth to the copious production of milk in mature lactation. In particular, the PTPRF gene, which is known to suppress intracellular signals that are usually triggered by insulin binding to its receptor on the cell surface, may serve as a biomarker linking insulin resistance with insufficient milk supply. These results lay the foundation for future research focused on the physiological contributors to mothers' milk supply difficulties. Now that they've demonstrated the significance of insulin signalling in the human mammary gland, they are planning a phase I/II clinical trial with a drug used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes to determine whether it improves insulin action in the mammary gland, thus improving milk supply. While a drug is not an ideal way to solve the problem of sub-optimal glucose metabolism impairing breastfeeding, according to Dr. Nommsen-Rivers, it is excellent for establishing proof-of-concept through the use of a placebo controlled randomized clinical trial. "The ideal approach is a preventive one," she says. "Modifications in diet and exercise are more powerful than any drug. After this clinical trial, we hope to study those interventions." |
Is This Guy Marrying This Mama For Love Or What? [PHOTO] Posted: 08 Jul 2013 05:21 AM PDT Igbo kwenu!!! I know that my Igbo guys usually do not slack, especially in issues of getting married to such "old mama" all in the name of getting their papers complete so that immigration wont catch them one day and send them back to Nigeria without enough cash... Anyway, my concerns are straight to the real issues: is it ever possible for a 23-year-old boy to genuinely fall in love with a granny that is well over sixty years? What would be the attraction if not some pecuniary benefits? |

Karen, do you really need a tattoo in that special area? *Wink* |
How He Turned Me Into His Sex Slave and Stopped Me From Going To School Posted: 08 Jul 2013 05:04 AM PDT A personal account from one of late Muammar Gaddafi's former sex slaves published in the New York Post have shed even more light on the strange and terrifying lifestyle of Libya's former military dictator. The lady, her name is Soraya, was just 15-year-old in April 2004 when she was handpicked by Gaddafi from her school to become one of the many sex slaves in his harem. Journalist Annick Cojean have detailed Soraya's life as a sex slave: Everything has been captured in this new book titled "Gaddafi's Harem" The Story of a Young Woman and the Abuses of Power in Libya' due be released this September. Soraya first met Gaddafi when the dictator made a visit to her school and she was chosen to present him with a bouquet. Gaddafi's Harem: The new book by French journalist Annick Cojean gives Soraya's full account of the nightmare of being Gaddafi's sex slave 'You can't imagine the excitement,' she said. 'To see Gaddafi in person…His face had been known to me since I was born.' Their first exchange was innocent. Her heart raced as she handed Gaddafi the flowers, knelt and kissed his hand. He tapped her head and then she left. She said she felt like she was on a cloud. But that tap was more meaningful than Soraya could possibly comprehend. That tap meant that Gaddafi had chosen her to be his sex slave. The following day three members of his Amazonian guard – an all-female group – arrived at her mother's upscale salon and said that Gaddafi wanted to see Soraya. Her mother reluctantly agreed, knowing she didn't have a choice. Soraya was whisked away in a speeding SUV to a remote outpost where she was taken into a tent to meet the dictator. He didn't acknowledge her as he surfed the channels on his TV, but commanded the female guards to 'get her ready.' This included shaving her down, administering a blood test, measuring her for clothes, and changing her into a G-string and white slip. When she was ready, Soraya was escorted into Gaddafi's bedroom where he was waiting naked on the bed. 'Turn around you whore!' Gaddafi yelled at the young girl. 'Whore' would be the only name Soraya was ever called by the dictator. Then he yanked her hair and made her look into his eyes. 'Don't be afraid,' he said. 'I am your Papa – that's what you'll call me, isn't it? But I am your brother as well, and soon I'll be your lover. I'll be all of that to you. Because you're going to stay here and be with me forever. ' 'I am your Papa': Gaddafi told Soraya he would be father, brother AND lover to the 15-year-old girl Soraya was confused. She was told that after she met with the dictator that she could go home. Being so young, she didn't quite understand what the dictator wanted with her. After that Soraya was held captive as a sex slave until Gaddafi's demise. Along with his many other slaves, she lived in a windowless basement room stuffy with mold and sweat. Their single role in life was to fulfill Gaddafi's sexual appetite, as he would have sex at least four times a day and it had to be with different women each time. This came as quite a shock to Soraya who, like many other Libyans, thought of Gadaffi as a feminist in many ways. He started the Amazonian Guard, the all-female regiment that protected him. He wrote 'The Green Book' which advocated for women's rights and constantly criticized the West for their treatment of women. Secret sex slaves: Gaddafi was thought of as a feminist in Libya for some time because he started the all-female Amazonian guard, but many of them were actually kept as sex slaves One member of his female vice squad told the Associated Press in 2011 that Gaddafi opened opportunities for women to advance. 'That's why we cling to him; that's why we love him. He gave us complete freedom as a woman to enter the police force, work as engineers, pilots, judges, lawyers. Anything.' But the truth was that many of Gaddafi's own Amazonian guard were used as sex slaves as well. He scoped out other potential slaves at weddings, schools and political summits. There was even a secret apartment at the University of Tripoli he used to rape students. And his treatment of Soraya was far from feminist. After her first time with the dictator, she bled for 36 hours straight after. In a report published as the revolution, Gaddafi's chef told The Times of India that many of his sex slaves suffered such serious injuries from intercourse that 'they went immediately from his bedroom to the hospital.' Soraya hated the way he ate garlic cloves for breakfast, chain-smoked, got drunk off of Johnnie Walker Black and was constantly high on cocaine. 'He was repulsive and he was the president of my country,' Soraya said. But some women, especially foreigners, willingly engaged with Gaddafi. She was always surprised to see visiting women head to Gadaffi's bedroom immaculately dressed carrying designer purses, and then emerge later with their lipstick smudged and hair undone. His sex acts with her were gruesome. After years of sex slavery, she says Gaddafi completely deformed her body. 'Because they had been pushed, crushed and bitten, my breasts were drooping and very painful,' she said. '[I] had the chest of an old lady.' One time he urinated on her and another time he raped her right after having sex with a slave infected with hepatitis. In one instance she was brought into his bedroom while he was having sex with a young man while another man dressed like a woman was forced to dance. After he was finished he moved onto Soraya. Outside of Libya no one really seemed to understand just how crazy the dictator was. Soraya recalls a visit from Tony Blair. Blair exited Gaddafi's tent in a great mood and yelled 'Hi, girls!' to the people congregated outside, not knowing they were slaves. Eventually Soraya gained some freedoms, like the ability to use a cellphone or take a brief trip home. Many of the sex slaves used these liberties as a way to escape, but most were eventually found and brought back. Years of containment made Soraya relish the freedoms, so she never dared try to leave. 'The few hours outside the compound gave me such a boost that I never asked any questions,' Soraya said. 'I wasn't even thinking of escaping anymore. I was a long-forgotten girl without any sort of future.' Then Tripoli fell in August 2011, and two months later Gaddafi was killed. The world was opened up to the atrocities Gaddafi had committed, and the weird lifestyle he kept. When revolutionaries took his palace they found tons of porn, a life-size poster of Jake Gyllenhaal and a photo album of pictures of Condoleezza Rice whom he called 'my darling black African woman.' They also found a labyrinth of underground tunnels where Soraya and other slaves were locked away. Freedom: Tripoli fell in August 2011, and two months later Gaddafi was killed. Now Soraya is free but still feels the aftershocks of her life as a sex slave Now Soraya lives in Tripoli, smoking three packs a day in her apartment, completely friendless and wondering if anyone will ever acknowledge what happened to her and others like her. 'I didn't dream it!' she told Cojean. 'You believe me, don't you?' The International Criminal Court issued a warrant for Gaddafi four months before he died, but no one would step up to testify to rape. |
Housemaid slumps after getting a 28yr jail sentence for stealing N35m jewellery Posted: 08 Jul 2013 04:59 AM PDT A housemaid, Mary John, has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for stealing her mistress' jewellery estimated at N35m. The 30-year-old woman slumped moments after hearing the sentence, hitting her head against the carpeted surface of the court room. The impact shook the walls of the court room, but she was quickly resuscitated and carried out by prison warders. The convict had been arraigned since September 2012 on four counts of conspiracy, entry, breaking and stealing. Her mistress, Mrs. Esohe Kadiri, a lawyer, said she stole wristwatches valued at N9m, bangles and bracelets worth N10m, diamond set worth N8m, rings worth N3m, chains and pendants worth N5m, and a camera priced at N100, 000, which all totalled N35, 100,000. The theft was said to have occurred in July 2012 at her residence in Victoria Garden City, Ajah. Kadiri, in her evidence before the court said John took advantage of her travel outside the country to perpetrate the theft. She said she was alerted to the crime by her sister, and after challenging John on phone, she suddenly became incommunicado. Together with three other witnesses- Kelvin Ikeagwe, Francis Ugbem and Inspector Patrick Onu- 34 exhibits were tendered to nail the accused.John, however, in her oral testimony, told the court she was hypnotised by some men whom she met on the road. She also claimed she was taken to an herbalist's house where she was told that if she told anyone about her experience, she would die. She said she took the men to her mistress' residence, and they broke through the burglar proof door to steal the items. The magistrate, Mrs. Aje Afunwa, in her ruling however observed that the defendant's written statement was inconsistent with her oral evidence. She said John had indeed confessed to the crime in her written evidence which the court would admit as true. She said, "In her evidence, she confessed to breaking the door, climbing the house and stealing the jewellery. "I choose to believe more the defendant's written statement than her oral evidence which is an attempt to shift the blame to another person. I believe her oral statement is a figment of her imagination. "More so, hypnotism or superstition is a phenomenon which is not admissible in law." She further referred to her demeanor which she said did not show any sign of "one whose eyes had just been cleared of hypnotism." Afunwa said John did not show any remorse or regret for her action and hence deserved full punishment for her action. She said, "I strongly believe that the defendant stole the items by herself with the help of another person who is at large. "In view of the rampancy of such a crime where house helps, clerks and servants engage in the stealing of the property of their employer, this honourable court will not be lenient with the accused to serve as a deterrent to others. "I therefore find the defendant guilty on the four counts of conspiracy, breaking, felony and stealing. She is to serve a prison term of seven years on each count, with hard labour, and the terms are to run concurrently for a maximum of seven years. "And probably while serving her jail term, she would have a change of heart and probably confess as to where the jewellery is." |
Pastor and Choir Mistress Caught In The Act After Night Vigil Posted: 08 Jul 2013 04:54 AM PDT On many occasions, Olokunbolablessing.blogspot..Com has observed where angry husbands stormed church premises at odd hours during the usual "night vigil" to drag their wives home, and attack anyone who tried to intervene. Sometimes its due to information they receive about "things" like what is happening here... When people who are wearing 'holy' white garment choose to sort themselves out in a corner around the church premises, then you know that moral values are really down in our society. How sad! Can't these secret lovers at least get a room for themselves for whatever? |
