I Am Not A Single Mother, But A Single Parent- KSB

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:44 AM PDT

Kenny St. Brown Best in a recent interview was asked how she has been coping with her kids and if she will be willing to try her hands in marriage again. And here's what the singer said.

I am not a single mother; I am a single parent. A single mother gets the bill taken care of while a single parent plays the role of a father and a mother while still picking up the bills. It has been a tough job anyway. I enjoy it, as I said earlier, and it is really a lovely experience being a mother because it is just the three of us.

On remarrying

I am a cute girl and still feel cute inside. I still think of getting married.
Yes I will; most definitely…

Photo: Woman With No Womb Delivers Baby...As G.O Recalls His Elder Sister Once Called His Wife A Man

After Eight years of not having a child, wife of the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Port-Harcourt Rivers State, Evangelist (Dr) Nkechi Chinyere, gave birth to a baby girl.

Her conception and delivery by medical experts have been described as a miraculous one after she was diagnosed to be without a womb some years ago.

According to The Nation,  The baby arrived on Tuesday July, 23 around 10:10am in United States of America, and weighed 10 LBS, which was recorded as the heaviest baby of the day in the hospital.

The General Overseer, expressed delight for surviving the insults of his elder sister who taunted him after discovering his wife's medical status. Two years after marriage without conception, Chinyere recalled his wife became worried, making him to direct his elder sister to accompany her to an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt GRA for examination. She was pronounced without womb and declared incapable of conception, let alone delivery of baby. Armed with the vital information, he said his elder sister resorted to smear his wife's name, even in the Church, taunting her as a man. Today, Doctor Jesus has remembered me and my wife and also rolled away the shame and forever silenced our adversaries.

N65M Scam: Ecobank Manager Bags 2-Year Jail Term

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:36 AM PDT

Justice Dije Abdu Aboki of the High Court of Kano State recently convicted and sentenced Usman Salifu to two years imprisonment for stealing.

The convict was alleged to have stolen the sum of N65, 000, 000 from one Yusuf Sale Dunari's fixed deposit account domiciled at Oceanic Bank ( now Ecobank) where he was a Branch Manager. The convict who had pleaded not guilty upon arraignment, dramatically changed his plea by admitting his guilt to all the 4-count charge.

The defence counsel pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy, saying that the convict is a first offender, and has aged parents and many dependants. But the prosecuting counsel M.M Gambo urged the court to make orders regarding restitution in sentencing the convict. Justice Aboki accordingly convicted the accused and sentenced him to six months imprisonment with option of N2m fine on the first count, six months with option of N500, 000 fine on counts 2 and 3 and four months imprisonment with option of N500, 000 fine on count 4. All sentences are to run concurrently

Rapper Eva Alordiah Talks About How Her Uncle Molested Her @ 6

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:27 AM PDT

It is some months before August, the dates running all the way back into the calendars of the early 90s. In a few months from this day, she will turn 7 years old, maybe even have a big school party like her friend Aisha had weeks back. But today, while she's still 6 years old and counting.

He will satisfy the incessant needs of his groins. He will have her to himself and make her feel like he was right and she was wrong to refuse him. So he towers his tall lean frame above her, looking down on her as he intimidates her with his size.

She's scared, confused and lost all at the same time.

'This is Uncle Emeka,' she reminds her poor little head. 'Uncle'. Not by blood or family ties, no. But Uncle, cause he is friends with Dad and Mom. Please continue.

He picks her up from the floor and props her on his chest, all the time saying,

"You know I'd buy you some more buiscuits when I come tomorrow eh? Did you like the ones I brought today?"
She nods. Barely knowing what else to do but nod in fear. Not too far off from the house just outside, she can hear her brothers playing in the yard. The maid is out on an errand and she is here by herself... With Uncle Emeka, who said he had come to see Mommy.

She feels his finger as they begin to find room big enough to fit,in the wells beyond the cotton lining of her baby panties. She yelps in pain.
He closes her mouth with his, swallowing her screams down his throat as he kisses her without shame, his finger still gliding in and out of her.

It is painful. It burns like hot coals of fire. She lets the tears roll. He tells her it is right.

"Am I not your best Uncle?" he asks with a smile that curves his bushy moustache into an awkward arch.
She nods.

She was only 6 years old. But this was to happen again three more times before her 7th birthday, each occurrence bringing with it several wraps of biscuits and candies. "Don't ever tell your Mommy," he'd say. "She'd beat you very hard. Do you want her to do that?"

It's many years ago. But I write this now and I tell you, that little girl was me. Was. Because with time I overcame that. I found the strength to walk away from it and not feel like such a dirty, good-for-nothing girl as I felt every time it happened.

For a couple of years after that, I asked myself several questions I was not to find answers to if I didn't seek help. So I did! And I let it all go. But not until I made sure I didn't feel like such a whimp of a girl who couldn't defend herself.

And so I grew up into a tough, smug, tomboy of a girl. I hated boys, but I had them as best friends. My playmates were the biggest boys in the class. My toys were water-guns and toy soldiers. I wanted to be tough. I wanted to be able to defend myself.

I was involved in sports, and every other thing the little girls in my peer group thought was too dirty to do. I didn't care about dresses, and skirts. I hated them. So I wanted to be dressed like my brothers, and look like a boy.

For years I let myself believe -"If he was ever giving me anything, he wanted something in return." This was the logic with Uncle Emeka, wasn't it? Every time I got a present, or cookies and candies, it was because he wanted me to keep my mouth shut about everything, because he wanted me to be happy, because he wanted to come right back to prop me up on a wall and give me pain.

So I learned to get mine. I wanted to have what I needed on my own terms. I was never to ask for help from any boy, I was never to accept gifts, I didn't want anything if I couldn't get it myself.

I don't exactly come from one of the richest homes. I have parents who made sure we had what we needed, and on time. I watched my dad and mom put in work, from morning till nightime tirelessly just to make sure we were okay. It began to dawn on me very early in life, if I didn't start getting it myself now, I might never have the chance to when I am older and I might have to depend on taking from boys.

I didn't want that!

It reminded me too much of Uncle Emeka. It brought all the pain from the past right back with hot burning tears each time I thought of it.
I wanted to work. I wanted my own. I loved school, I excelled at school bringing my parents much needed joy for all their hard earned money.

But school wasn't to be over so soon. I had two more years to be done with secondary school and then to face another four after that for university.
I couldn't wait.

At age 13 I realised I loved to read and write, so I began to write... and write even more! My dad applauded my stories, said I'd make a great writer and tried to get me published. But that was tossed in the wind as I fell in love with Eminem and focused my writing on Rap music.

I took my first job as a photography model at age 15. It wasn't much of a job but it was a period in my life where I got to know much about business first hand. I didn't take anything for granted. I had the sharpest, piercing stare ready for any guy who dared look at me like he wanted something!

"I'm not here for rubbish, I don't have anything to give you, I don't want your 'gifts', I will get mine." I repeatedly told myself.

At age 16 I had auditioned for 2 movie roles and was successfully cast to act in them. On my first day on set to shoot, the director told me he loved me and tried to touch my young tender breasts. Wasn't that the same thing 'Uncle Emeka' said many years ago?

I got up, fired him my 'I'd kill you if you ever try that shit with me" stare and walked away from location never to face my acting dreams again.

By the time I turned 18, I had taught myself makeup artistry. I had also learned how to sew clothes from watching my mom sew in the house late at night after a long day at work. I was at university to study Computer Science at the time and I was by now a full time business woman. There I was, investing my N20,000 pocket money on bend-down select clothes from Yaba to sell in school and making over 400% profits each time.

I was finally beginning to get mine. It was "Work Eva, Work!"

I would hate to take you on a journey through a long post reading all about my experience to where I am now as a rapper/entertainer, so I will stop here.

Look at me. I have strived hard to get to where I am today. I did not happen overnight. I am hardly where I want to be, but God is ever faithful. I have done just about anything to make sure I never had to feel like a whimp. To never feel like I had to give myself up to get anything. To never feel like all I was good for was satisfying a man's needs down-south for a gift in return.

Now, I'd tell you - I never granted an interview to anyone with the aim of revealing the fact that I was molested as a child. There's no pride whatsoever in that. I was put in a tight situation, asked my opinion on "Child Not Bride" - and I apologise for not being able to control my emotions while I let my answers spiral out of my small mouth. We are talking about underaged girls being married off and having it right by law!

How do you think I feel about that having read my story now? This is rather too much of an emotional and delicate subject matter for me and I couldn't help but relate to these young girls. And so I did say in passing without making that my focus - "Hey! I can relate, I had bad things happen to me as a child and I was molested."

If you are going to find a punchline to draw attention to your blog, on a matter such as this, as a writer - how much effort would it have been to relay the emotions under which I said it in your post? Instead you chose to make me out to look like I was mouthing off and being proud about being molested as a young 6 year old child!
Is it just me or wasn't that pushing a little too hard for the negative attention?

I'm not asking that you care about me. I'm asking that you care about the situation, I'm asking that a woman be a woman for another woman. In an attempt to drive traffic to your site, do not portray my story for me like I was out to brag about it. In an attempt to "not care" and just be a gossip poster at least be a woman for another and not make my own story look like a cheap attempt at quotations for fame.
But who am I to talk here right?

I was molested! I had my 6 year old vagina prickled with fingers and nails that left sores for days! I felt like a total loser of a girl. I was traumatised for a long time.

There are probably thousands of children in Nigeria, molested everyday. By their teachers, house maids, uncles, aunties- even their own parents! This is a serious issue, not just for the family but the society at large. I have kept this to myself for many years and never expected I'd break down emotionally and let it out in passing to express my opinion on #ChildNotBride.

I almost died weeks ago in an auto crash. But I am here. Alive. I did not intend to put my sad story out like this, but it is here now and I refuse to run away from it. So while I am alive now and can use my story to hopefully inspire one person, I stand for every young girl who has gone through even a tiny bit of what I have.

Talk to somebody. Anybody. Don't keep it to yourself. Talk to your parents about it. Don't feel bad about yourself. You must remember that you are beautiful, very beautiful. You must see yourself in the purest of forms. Everyday.

To every parent out there, I implore you please, guard your beautiful children under your wings like the mother hen. You might not be able to do that 24/7 because you must go out to work and fend for them, but you must, I beg of you, be ready to ask and be there to listen.
I am here. You are there, reading this.

I don't know what you have been through, but I have talked to a great many people who were molested as kids. Boys. Girls.

So I do know that I am not here alone, and you aren't either. What I went through was disgusting, but it propelled me daily to where I am now.
I am not traumatized anymore. I did not let this consume me. I am asking you now not to let it consume you. We sometimes think everyone else is perfect until we hear their stories. I have no idea what yours is, but this is mine.

This is not something I'd ever wish on any child. It is not anything to be happy about. I was molested, I am not proud about it, I am proud that I rose above.

I apologise for making you read such a long post. I couldn't contain myself.

Love,
E.

This Guy Raped His Girl & Shared Her Photo Bcos She Denied Him The "Thing"

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 10:16 AM PDT

She admitted that they are friends but not lovers as he claimed, and whenever they met, they usually greeted and discussed but not to the extent of having sex. She said whenever he talked about sex issues, she usually turned it down.
What took her to Henry's house? The babe, Thelma, said he collected her "memory card" and that when she needed it, he asked her to come to his house to collect it. As soon as she entered he locked the door.
"He ordered me to pull off all my clothes while still holding the knife and I obeyed him and he brought out his phone and started video-taping me while I was nude and threatened that if I refused to have sex with him, he would post it on the internet."
In the process of trying to collect her "memory card" the bad guy executed his real motive. He forcefully had intercourse with her, took her nude photos and thereafter posted same on the internet.
Consequently, 27-year-old Henry Aiyenero has been arrested and charged before Apapa Magistrate's court in Lagos for molesting his girlfriend, 23-year-old Thelma Lawrence, a student of Lagos State Polytechnic and posting her nude photos on the internet.

Henry, who works at Ifelodun Local Council Development Area as driver, allegedly committed the illicit act in his house at Ajegunle in Lagos.

Delta State-born Henry, was said to have humiliated his girlfriend, Thelma, that way because she has been denying him sex for a long period. So, when she eventually visited his house, he threatened her with a knife, stripped her and used his mobile phone to take her nude photos and also recorded it on video.
He told her he would post it on the internet if she refused to have sex with him. Thelma allowed him have his way out of fear but he went ahead and posted the photo on the internet and even gave the video to some of his neigbours to watch.

According to the police, the defendant deliberately and unlawfully, with criminal intent, intimidated, annoyed and violently threatened the victim with a knife and had sex with her and thereafter, he displayed her nude photo on the internet.

But at the end of the long story in court:
The bad guy, Henry, pleaded not guilty. The Magistrate, Mr P.E. Komonanya granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to September 4, 2013.

Keeping Our Ladies Legs Closed Until Their Wedding Night

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 02:17 AM PDT

"We don't just accept that a girl is a virgin until certain tests are carried out on those that come to our NGO. The examination is a safe one that does not affect them psychologically or physically. After that, we enlighten and continue to nurture them.

"We also give certificate to them on their wedding days."

A non-governmental organisation, The Virgins, has said it is focused on preserving virgins until their wedding night. The founder, Adunni Adediran, said she was convinced that the objective could be achieved, saying she sold her house and empied the N5m in her bank account to help girls, who wanted to stay as virgins before marriage.

Adediran told Punch that she made the sacrifice because of experiences she had during her teenage years.

She said, "I am doing this because of the experience I went through as a teenager. I did not regret spending so much. I believe that every girl child deserve to preserve her virginity until when she chooses to get married.

"The talk of girl-child marriage should not be something we should be talking about in this country. The government ought to enlighten the parents to care for their female children and encourage them to be virgins before marriage. If the parents are well enlightened, there is no way they can give their daughter out when she is not mature."

The 68-year-old mother said, "It is worrisome that a large number of people and organisations, including the government, do not show clear support to the virgins. This idea can eradicate many vices in the country."

She said the organisation is struggling to survive because of lack of support, adding that more efforts would still be made to make sure that government, corporate bodies and individuals support the initiative.

Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos have arrested a 30-year-old career counselor and alumnus of the Bolton University, United Kingdom, Arinze Ifeanyi John.
During interrogation, Arinze confessed to the crime but kind of blamed poverty. He said:
"I came to Nigeria in June as an Alumni Ambassador of my university. Work was at advanced stage for an exhibition in Onitsha with parents and prospective candidates who are interested in furthering their education in the United Kingdom.
"In the process, I got an interview request in London which I had wanted to quickly attend and continue with my assignment in Nigeria. My friend who assisted me with a return ticket, gave me the bag to use for my trip.
"It was inside the bag that the parcels of drug were found. I am very sorry for what has happened. I want my friends, relatives and business partners to please understand my situation."
Arinze holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Madona University Anambra State. He also has a master's degree in International Business at Bolton University. He has lived in Bolton for the past three years.
According to NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, he was caught with 2.120kg of methamphetamine at the outward screening of passengers on a Virgin Atlantic flight to London.

TRAGEDY: Bad Guys Beat Police Officer To Death In Lagos

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 01:35 AM PDT

Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigations into the killing of a police corporal Ado Ayuba, who was lynched by some hoodlums in Suru Alaba area of the state.
"On the day of the incident, Ayuba and another policeman were dispersing the traders when things went wrong.
"We were told that the traders overpowered the policemen and in an attempt to protect himself and his colleague, Ayuba opened fire into the crowd and killed a trader (Mohammed). Ayuba's colleague immediately fled, leaving him alone with the hoodlums."
According to police, the victim was beaten to death by an irate mob for allegedly killing a trader, Mustapha Mohammed, on July 30, 2013.

Punch learnt that Ayuba and another policeman were deployed to the scene to chase away traders who had illegally taken over a portion of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

It was learnt that trading activities by the traders usually caused gridlock in the area. It was also learnt that some residents and motorists had complained to relevant authorities about the inconveniences caused by the traders. A construction company working on the road had also made appeal to the government to check the traders.

A senior policeman, who spoke to Punch on condition of anonymity, said:
"Ayuba and the policeman were posted to the area to chase away traders who had taken over that portion of the road. The road is under construction by Chinese Construction Engineering Company and the company had complained that its makeshift construction site was being hijacked by traders.

"The hoodlums seized Ayuba's gun from him [after he allegedly shot one of the traders], picked up stones and sticks and beat him up without mercy.

"Some soldiers arrived at the scene and attempted to rescue the policeman. But the soldiers were greatly outnumbered by the uncontrollable mob, which overpowered them and chased them away."

Our correspondent learnt that by the time the police back-up arrived and managed to disperse the mob, Ayuba was unconscious from the beatings he had received.

The policemen rushed Ayuba and Mustapha to the hospital where they were confirmed dead.

How They Tried to Kill Me in Prison ––Al-Mustapha Reveals All

Posted: 06 Aug 2013 01:20 AM PDT

Former Chief Security Officer to late Gen. Sani Abacha, who spent about 14 years in prison, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, as revealed that he escaped several plots to kill him while he was in prison.

"Thank God, a reliable and trusted son of Tivland and my friend was officer in charge. He was directed to release me without documents in the wee hours of the night
"As God would have it, he sought for guidance from our father and leader, Wantaregh Paul Unongo, who in turn directed him not to allow them take me away for subsequent killing."
Al-Mustapha said he would have been eliminated if not for the timely intervention of Wantaregh Paul Unongo and retired Controller of Prison, Iorbee Ihiagh.

Al-Mustapha, who was one of the powerful men in the country during the administration of late Gen Abacha, made the revelation at the weekend when he led his wife, few friends including Mohammed Abacha to pay homage to Second Republic Minister of Steel, Wataregh Paul Unongo, in his home in Jato Akaa.

He said: "On the 29th of March, 2004, some people planned to kill me. I was to be forced out of the prison and taken to an unknown destination where they were to take my life.

"God saved my life on that day. Let me say, from the day the journey started, the day my father, the late General Sani Abacha, died to the 12th of of July this year when I was released, we have had so many attempts to take our lives but God Almighty preserved us.

"Alhaji Mohammed Sani Abacha and I initially were framed through scripted stories released to the media and we were arrested. Thank God that subsequently justice was served having passed through series of travails and torture.

"But today it is just normal that we should come home to Tivland before my father Wantaregh Paul Unongo and in the presence of CP Ihiagh, who was prematurely retired because he refused to play games with my life. God Almighty has decided that I will still see today."

How Good Are Nigerian Men In Bed: Fast and Furious?

Posted: 05 Aug 2013 11:58 AM PDT

Couple love 1
I mean you have seen the way men drive in Nigeria: fast and furious, in a hurry to get nowhere! Might it be that the way a man drives is a reflection of his bedtime activity? And, of course, I also wanted to ask: Is the lack of good s8x driving women to fat in Nigeria?

You must have seen the scene before, where, after copulating…

the man looked like the cat that got the cream, while the woman looked despondent and was busy searching under the pillow, the bed and in the wardrobe: for her orgasm!

Anyway, added to the above is the rising incidence of rape, marital strives and divorce due to adultery, which further underlines the problem. Every day, you hear of some woman killed by an irate husband because of this issue.

For God's sake, what is the fun in forcing a woman to have sex, or by rape? Why would you date rape or even rape your wife? The real joy is making a woman want you — just you — again and again.

The problem
It seems that one of the biggest problems men face is knowing how to make love to a woman! Unfortunately, what commonly happens is that young men get their s8xual advice from friends or from pornographic films and books. As a result, they have a distorted view of what it is actually about.

We need to re-educate men about what it means to love a woman. Sadly, of course, I am not an expert on s8x matters and these articles are to inform, educate and, maybe, even to just brighten up your day.

Here, for your reading pleasure, is the synthesis of 'How to make love to a woman' from women's point of view. This is what women want.

Love-making, not s8x
The first thing men need to know is that women prefer to call it "making love." 'S8x' sounds like a question and is very clinical. S8x? Oh yes, I am female! Thank you very much. So, this article is not an exposé on s8x. If you want s8x, then please see the girls on Gimbiya Street in Abuja. Or sort yourself out!

However, if you really want to know how to make love; if you want the woman to say, 'Thank you' afterwards or to come over the next time, seemingly having forgotten her knickers at home, then you should follow a proven system that is guaranteed to give pleasure to a woman.

Communication
Communicating your interest and intentions is very important. Ensuring that the woman of your dream knows that you care about her, and want her, is important. However, talk is also cheap, unless followed by good intentions and action. Communication can also be subtle and non verbal.

A lot of Nigerian men do not engage in making eye contact, holding hands, smiling, winking, stroking, cuddling, kissing, laughing, embracing, etc.

Intimacy
Never forget that making love is a whole body and mind experience. Cuddling, hugging and just being close together reassure women and promise safety. Women say that a good number of men are selfish partners who tend to initiate sex when it suits them and have little or no thought about their partners. Some women go through with it perfunctorily, as a duty.

Focus, timing, location
Planning, timing, focus and the right location are important. A woman will more than likely agree to have you if privacy is assured. Choose the location carefully, communicate the idea early and allow her to simmer — just for you. For most women, s8x is in the mind: A woman needs to make love to you in her mind first.

Use protection
This is important and goes without saying. An annoying trend noticed among Nigerian men is the fact that they won't buy their own protection (condoms). Why would you put your woman to risk? Part of the protection also includes your personal hygiene. Hygiene is important to women. Hygiene includes a bath, clean noses, ears, trim nails and clean shave (including the armpits).

Also, please wash your hands before touching a woman's privates to avoid transmitting infection from car doors and household things.

Pleasure and fun
Take your time and really enjoy every individual sensation. That is how women do it. You need to learn how to listen to a woman's body. It will tell you what she wants, just like yours tells her. Take it slow, so slow it hurts. It is rare that a slow pace will bore a woman.

Ensure mutual fun
The goal of s8x is not just your orgasm but ecstasy for both partners. Love-making is not a movie set where everyone concentrates on his/her script. You do need to listen to her body — that is the most important thing.

While it is nice to occasionally focus on her exquisite spot, keep moving, doing things with your tongue and hands all over her. However, do not feel the need to work towards an orgasm, and do not lose your confidence if she doesn't come every time.

Post-intercourse
Some women like to talk after s8x and some don't, so follow her cues. Talk to your woman, express your pleasure, praise her prowess, subtly point out any shortcomings and teach what she may seem to lack — so that she keeps getting better for you.

This is also the best time for cuddling. Most men hate this part, but many women only have s8x at all to get to this part.

Okay. That's it. Do feel free to read and share widely. Also, please communicate by sending in your thoughts, opinions and replies through the website. I cannot wait for your thoughts on this interesting topic.
