Tiwa puts wedding shopping on hold for a trip to BBC Africa studio

Tiwa Savage and her fiancee Tee Billz are currently in London doing some long awaited wedding shopping. However while they are in town they've been making their promo rounds. The first stop was BBC World Service for an interview with Focus On Africa and a radio interview with (Focus Africa airing on Sunday 27th of Oct.). Dear OBB readers; my hubby is wanted in the US, what should I do?

I've been married to this man for just three years. We have a two year old child together. I just found out six days ago that he's wanted in the US, along with three other people for fraud and email scam. He actually escaped from the country six years ago and has been hiding in Nigeria. He completely lied to me about what he does for a living and lied about everything in his past. He's an American citizen who can't take his family to the US on holiday. His excuses of not wanting us to visit the US was what led me to investigate him and that's when I found out his little secret. Or should I say big secrets. So what should I do now? I don't want to be married to an ex-convict and a liar. He lies about everything, even his name. I think my married name was made up. I'm no longer sure the people he parades as his family are really his family. I'm not sure about anything anymore and I'm now scared of him. Please what should I do? I'm scared shitless..

Girl Gang Raped AND Set Ablaze

A girl about 13 years old, was gang raped by three men in her village in India and then set on fire.
She later died at a hospital after receiving burns over 80% of her body, the Times of India reports.
The girl was from a village in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, the Daily Mail reports.
The IB Times reports she was in eighth grade.
The girl had gone to a farm with her older sister and as they returned home, three villagers dragged her away and raped her, the girl's family told police. The girl told the alleged assailants she would tell other villagers, at which point, they set her on fire, the news organisation reports.
The girl's older sister ran off to get help, but by the time the girl's family and neighbors arrived at the spot, she had suffered massive burns.

Kavita Krishnan, of the All India Progressive Women's Association, said that in India, in many cases, it is automatically assumed that a woman's complaint of rape is false if she's not dead or dying.
"Of course it continues to be a huge problem, and I think part of the trouble is the fact that there's been little accountability in the police system," she said. "In terms of the police response, even to this incident, apparently it is has been to point suspicion toward the girl's family."
Police are now in search of the suspects, the Times reports.
Last year, a 23-year-old woman was brutally gang raped in New Delhi and thrown from a moving bus, later dying from her injuries. Six others on the bus, including the driver, raped her. Five of the defendants were convicted and one died in custody.
Similar cases are emerging around India and drawing attention to the issue of safety for women and girls there. In one case, the parents of a 4-year-old girl said a distant relative raped the child. Police said the girl had been tortured and assaulted.

The late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has been named the highest-earning dead celebrity of 2013.
The singer, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, raked in nearly £99m over the past 12 months, even more than the top living star, Madonna, who earned a little over £77m.
The Thriller star's wealth nearly tripled runner-up Elvis Presley's £34m on Forbes' annual list of posthumous celebrity wealth. He reclaimed the top spot from his old friend Dame Elizabeth Taylor, who died in 2011 aged 79.
Much of Jackson's cash from beyond the grave has come from his two Cirque Du Soleil shows. Immortal grossed an impressive £185m since opening last year and Las Vegas show One "regularly sells out", says the magazine.
He also earns a fortune from his half of the lucrative Sony song catalogue, which includes hits by The Beatles, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.
Rounding out the top five is Peanuts creator Charles Schulz ($37 million), Elizabeth Taylor ($25 million) and Bob Marley, who made $18 million.

Popular Nollywood actress, Ireti Osayemi, who was alleged by some people to have snatched another woman's husband, is presently pregnant, going by the latest gist reaching us from the grapevines.

Our Sources learnt that the busty wife of Nollywood producer-cum-director, Adeoye Bakare, also known as Adeoye Bakky, is expecting another child for her hubby.

Despite her present condition, we gathered that Ireti has been hitting the movie locations.

Ireti, as we were informed, is reportedly not the first or second wife of her husband. They already have children from their marriage.

Ex-PMAN president Mustapha Amego dies after battle with cancer

Former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mustapha Amego, has died after a long battle with colon cancer. The musician and former TV personality, who relocated to the US many years ago, died yesterday October 23rd in Baltimore, Maryland, US.

For those who don't remember him, he was one of the host of popular 90's weekly music-dance show, Sunday Rendezvous. Mustapha was also PMAN president  from 1993 to 1996. After his  tenure, he relocated to the US where he worked with the Discovery Channel as a content producer and editor.

He will be buried today according to Muslim rites. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

Y'all know that Tiwa Savage used to be a backup singer for Mary J Blige? Tiwa received high praise from the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul during her recent performance at the Sisters with Soul concert in Lagos last September. Mary J Blige stopped mid-way through her performance to acknowledge Tiwa's presence in the audience then recounted the tale of how they met and worked together, before inviting the "Eminado" singer onstage to join her. The reunion of the talented songbirds was one of the highlights of the successful concert...
 

Wait, Stella Oduah followed President Jonathan to Israel?

According to new reports, Minister of Aviation Ms Stella Oduah is currently in Israel with president Jonathan. Stella Oduah left Nigeria on Tuesday while President Jonathan left yesterday. The two are in Israel to sign the Bilateral Air Services Agreement, BASA, with the country.

Pres. Jonathan is also in Jerusalem for pilgrimage. And you guys thought she was under probe? Lol.
