Naija Babe Opens Up On Having Séx With Her Brothers

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 07:43 AM PST

It's really sad that they carried this "bad" act into secondary school. Read the lady's story below...
A lot of us have slept with our brother/sister while growing up. For me, I was disvirginéd at the age of 5 by my uncle.
After that, I started sleeping with my brother cause of the urge and when my uncle left for secondary school, I slept with my brother till I was in SS1 (when I realised that what I was doing is wrong).
Though then, my brother would still make moves trying to seduce me - for example he walks around the house with his manhood eréct or saying words like "if you want us to do it am ready".

He is now a séx addict and carries ashawo and gals around. I know it's all my fault and don't know how to help him. I also spoke to him that I know what I did is wrong but I have asked the Lord to forgive me and help my brother too.
This happens in homes mostly where the parents are not always around. I want to have kids too and I don't want the same thing happening to them. Please help me prevent and control this.
I know I am not the only child this happened to; it was common in the 1980's and 1990's cos some parents use maids and relatives to take care of their kids and the "helpers" use the kids as séx experiment.
But how can we prevent this generation from suffering the same thing?

OMG: SEE This Nollywood Actor's Very Funny New Year Message (MUST READ)

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 07:39 AM PST

Nollywood actor, Joseph Benjamin shared a New Year's message yesterday.
He took to his BBM to broadcast this to his friends.
See what he said:
"Happy New Year folks, glad we all had a seamless crossover into the new year. It is new year, things take a turn for the better. Change is constant. We should all desire to grow and achieve as much as God desires for us.
Please permit me to share this general announcement: Please don't ask me to do things pro bono for you, or your organization/magazine/newspaper/etc, unless you fancy being let down, personally. I have serious bills to pay, just like the rest of y'all, so if you want to hire my services, we can talk, but otherwise, don't even think about approaching me - the time for me to pump up my resume with the fleeting thrill of being a good samaritan is over unless you pay for it. I repeat over!
And nope- no friendship calls as far as business is concerned. Thanks, I have to draw the margin somewhere, and since this last yearly quarter seems to be the one where I've been asked the most for free expertise, let me reiterate once and for all: nothing in the world is free, my expertise being the least amongst them."

2-HEADED, 6-LEGGED BABY LIZARD FOUND IN THAILAND

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 07:34 AM PST

This week, a two-headed, six-legged baby gecko was found in Phuket, Thailand. Apparently, three men living in an apartment discovered the reptile so soon after its birth that it still had egg shell on one of its heads. The gecko, according to the men, was about the size of a baby's finger.
Dr. Sansareeya Wangkulangkul, a biology professor at Prince of Songkhla University, said this particular find is quite special.
"This is very unusual," she said. "House geckos usually live about one year, but I'm not sure about this one because it's deformed. The owners could try feeding it with black ants, which will not sting the gecko, or with mealworms."
However unique this baby gecko might be, it certainly isn't the first two-headed reptile we've run into.

A must Read Not a laughing matter for royal fathers

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 05:18 AM PST

The car burnt in the palace
At a time when masqueraders, art works and other symbols of traditional institutions are being desecrated, Femi Makinde writes on the experiences of some royal fathers in Osun State who have been humiliated or attacked for different reasons
Compared to what obtains in many places nowadays, the kingship institution used to command a lot of respect in the past in Yorubaland. The Kabiyesi,  which simply means the unquestionable,  were revered  by their subjects.
Then, an Oba could do anything in his domain without anybody questioning him. But things have changed. While subjects now drag monarchs to court  for different reasons, some unfortunate ones are dealt blows and attacked with cudgels by aggrieved subjects.

Recent  in Osun State, which prides itself as the State of the Virtuous, have shown that obas appear to have now become an endangered species.  Some of them are being hunted by their subjects and hoodlums who take pleasure in desecrating the sacred abode of those who are referred to as representatives of God on earth.
The incident of November 20, 2013 marked the peak of  the desecration that has befallen the institution of obaship especially in the state.
The Loja of Ilashe Ijesa, Oba Adesina Anibijuwon, had woken up on that fateful day in the rusty small town he had ruled for over 22 years without knowing that it was going to be his last day on earth.  The monarch was killed in a way too painful for an old man of about 85 who had hitherto been suffering total blindness.
His assailants were said to have earlier come and demanded to see him but they were told that he was asleep. They reportedly left a message that they wanted to visit three other places and come back with the hope that the octogenarian would have woken up from sleep.
True to their promise, they went back to the palace and suddenly one of them was said to have brought out a gun and pointed it to the head of the housemaid. Other strange visitors headed for the room where the monarch was staying and strangled him.
A wild fire broke out immediately the strange men left and the housemaid managd to escape. But the monarch was burnt in the inferno. It was gathered that while the palace was on fire, some of the chiefs went into hiding, raising suspicion among some residents that the killing might have been orchestrated by those who were tired of having an 85-year-old blind min as the Oba of the town.
Residents said that fire fighters who came to put off the fire tried but in vain as they ran out of water. The two storey-building was completely burnt and many who visited the scene expressed the opinion  that the structure should be pulled down to prevent it from collapsing on anybody or adjacent buildings.
The Sasore of Ilase, Chief Oluwagbemiga Oke, speaking on the incident, expressed surprise. He said there was no land dispute nor chieftaincy tussle in the town and thus wondered why the hoodlums  killed the monarch.
Chief Jumoke Ogunkeyede,  whose brother gave  the burnt residence to the monarch because the palace was under  construction,  also described the incident as shocking.
He said, "We heard that the three persons  came in a red Mazda 323. They escaped after killing the Kabiyesi and we learnt that their car had veered off into the bush while they were speeding away. We invited journalists  from the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, at Ibokun. But while they were coming to take photographs of the car, they saw that it had been set ablaze.
"They  ( hoodlums) also removed  the number plate of the car, if at all they fixed any  to it when they brought it. I believe that they set the car ablaze to conceal their identities. But the police can still find a way of unravelling those behind the killing and arson."
All those who visited the burnt palace concluded that the fire was arson, not an accident. One of the fire fighters, who spoke with representatives of Governor Rauf Aregbesola during their visit to the scene, said he suspected arson.
But many natives of the town are still surprised at why the king was killed.
Investigation by our correspondent revealed that the monarch had been having what some natives described as spiritual attacks since he ascended the throne. He was said to have lost his eyes during one of such experiences.
But some natives of the town in the Diaspora told our correspondent that those who contested against him should be thoroughly investigated to know if they know anything about the attack. They also cautioned that the investigation must not be limited to such people alone while advising that security agents should look for his killers everywhere.
Remanded in prison
While circumstances beyond the control of some of the Obas in Osun State have led to the disparaging of  their position, some of them had through their shameful actions, brought ridicule upon themselves.
The monarch  of Igbadae, Oba Olanrewaju Olaosebikan, was remanded in prison custody on the order of a Magistrate Court for an alleged attempt to kill one Mr. Alake.  Magistrate Olalekan Ijiyode, who presided over the case heard  in August 2013,  dumped  the monarch in Ilesa Prison based on the allegation. The allegation is yet to be proved before the court, but the humiliation  the monarch experienced is far from being enviable.
The Prosecuting Counsel,  from the Department of Public Prosecution, Mr. O. Faremi, had told  the court that the monarch  attempted to kill one  Alake with a double barrel gun but missed his target and the bullet killed a sheep instead.
He told the court that the accused person by his action committed an offence contrary to the law and punishable under Section  320 volume 2 of Criminal Code Law of Osun State. Although the monarch has not been pronounced guilty by the court and he could be innocent of the allegation, the fact that a monarch who is the head of the town was bundled inside the same place with common criminals is humiliating.
Another Oba accused of rape
Another incident that can be traditionally called an insult on the royal institution  is the dragging to the court of the Alowa of Ilowa, Oba Adebukola  Alli, by a female member of the National Youth Service Corps, Miss. Hellen Opara,  for alleged rape.
Justice Jide Falola of Osun State High Court,  after about three years of legal battle,  discharged and acquitted the Oba but not without scolding the monarch for dragging royalty in the mud by having sexual intercourse with a corps member in his domain – one  who is young enough to be his daughter.
Opara,  who served in Alli's domain between 2010 and 2011, claimed that the monarch took her to his private residence in Osogbo, the state capital,  where he forcefully had sex with her. But the monarch denied the claim saying the ex-corps member was his girlfriend. Opara had said at a press conference that Alli raped her without using a condom.
The former corps member had explained   that she got acquainted with the monarch during the last voter registration exercise in Ilowa and he  (Alowa) eventually asked her to assist him to facilitate computer training programme for his subjects.
She said," On Friday, March 25, 2011, I came to the computer centre and found some pupils and some community members seated. I introduced the programme to them and gave them forms, which I later collected from them. After all was done, I dismissed the pupils and told the Oba that I wanted to leave.
"The  Alowa proffered to drop me off, but on getting to the place of my primary assignment, he sped past, telling me that we had to go to Osogbo together so that I could enter the names of the pupils into the computer in Osogbo. He added that we also had some other issues to discuss."
She claimed that she was served drinks by the housemaid at the Alowa's residence in Osogbo and later the monarch started caressing her, but she refused his sexual advances. Her refusal, she added,  angered the Kabiyesi who, she claimed,   locked her up in one of the rooms in the house.
"When he got in, he said I was mad and that I should go into the room, where he stripped me naked. I pleaded that I was naked but he said I should go there, promising that he would not touch me. When I went in there, I was kneeling down, crying and pleading with him but he laid on me forcefully. When I screamed, he said nobody would hear me. When he was done, he went into his room, had his bath and dressed up. I told him to go and drop me.
"He dropped me off and on getting home, I called the corps liaison officer and the local government inspector, who took me to the police station in Obokun, where I narrated the incident," she added.
Although Oba Alowa has been discharged, Osun State Government has filed an appeal  to challenge the verdict.  While Nigerians are patiently waiting to see how the matter will unfold, the case has, to some extent,  portrayed the monarch in bad light and ridiculed the position, which was once revered. For instance, those who followed the case would not forget a day when the monarch lay flat on the floor in the courtroom due to illness. Many residents said that if the Kabiyesi had not caused his humiliation, there was no way he would have been so treated.
Invasion of Olokuku's palace
A gang of armed robbers stormed the palace of the Olokuku's of Okuku, Oba Oyebode Oluronke, in 2008 and stole crowns,  insignia and paraphernalia of office.
The most intriguing aspect of the palace invasion was that it took place around 10.00 am. The hoodlums who drove into the palace in three vehicles were said to be around 10. They overpowered the palace guards and tied them to a pole while they continued to move away what mattered to them.
In a show of utter disregard for the monarch, the hoodlums were said to have woken the Kabiyesi up as he was said to be relaxing and took away his invaluable property right before his eyes and he was helpless.
Not done, the marauders searched and found two brand new cars parked within the palace and drove them away.
About two months earlier, a gang of hoodlums had carried out a similar raid at the palace of the Olobagun of Obagun in Ifelodun Local Government Area which is less than 10 kilometers away from Okuku.  The raid was believed by many to have had political undertone and many argued that that kind of painstaking robbery would not have been possible if there was no politics behind the whole thing.  They stole crowns and other property in the palace and left the place only when they were satisfied that they had taken enough.
Reasons for increasing desecration
Many believe that some monarchs are bringing disrepute to the institution because of their approach to life.  A monarch who does not want his name in print said that politics was part of the problem. He said that some governors would just prop up somebody they consider to be sympathetic to their cause and decide to impose such on the people,  not minding  whether they are qualified or not.
He said, "In a situation where somebody who is not qualified to ascend the throne is imposed on the people, what do you expect? Strange things will begin to happen because they denied the rightful candidate access to the throne of his ancestors and install strangers.
" If there is any problem in my domain now and I don't know what to do, I will go to my father's grave and speak to him. He would hear me because I am his son. But if a stranger in a palace comes across such situation who will he speak to?"
The Akinrun of Ikirun, Oba Olayiwola Olawale,  and the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdulrasheed Olabomi, asked the government to beef up security around palaces and traditional rulers.
The Akinrun said that he was worried that palaces of obas were now under constant attack from hoodlums,  saying government should deploy security operatives to protect the custodians of tradition and culture of the people from harassment and humiliation.
He said, " I believe that those who killed the Kabiyesi of Ilashe would have been challenged if he had security operatives attached to him. They just went in unchallenged and killed him. This is unfortunate and I condemn the killing. We should do more on security of lives and property of everyone including kings."
Oba Olabomi said, "The barbaric act is highly unfortunate. That shows how vulnerable Obas are now. While I want the government to provide more security for obas, I also want to task each community to look inward and fashion out ways to protect their royal fathers.
"It is an insult on any town whose oba is molested or killed. Our people should also join in the efforts to stop the desecration of palaces and obaship position by criminals."

Nation,ThisDay men in auto crash in Ibadan

The vehicle and the motorcycle involved in the incident
Representatives of The Nation and ThisDay newspapers in Ibadan, Oyo State, were involved in a fatal auto crash in the ancient city on the New Year day.
The sales representatives of The Nation, Timothy Adeosun, and ThisDay, Juwon Babalola, had the accident after attending the New Year eve vigil in Ibadan.
Adeosun, 23, lost his life in the accident, while Babalola sustained serious injury.
Babalola is currently receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency Ward of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, while Adeosun's corpse had been deposited at the teaching hospital's mortuary.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred around 1.25am when a brown Acura 3.2TL saloon car, with Lagos number plate, FKJ 894 DC, driven by a young man, left its lane on Oke Padre/Mokola Road, and hit the victims who were on a dispatch motorcycle belonging to ThisDay newspaper.

The impact was said to have killed Adeosun immediately, while Babalola sustained multiple fracture.
It was said the victims had just left Salvation Army Church and were returning to their Mokola home.
One of the witnesses, who gave his name simply as Adeyara, said, "The driver was overtaking another vehicle on the road before hitting the motorcycle."
The Divisional Transport Officer at Mokola Police Station, Oyelowo Asimiyu, told our correspondent that the driver of the car was arrested at the scene.
Chairman of the Newspapers Distributors Association of Nigeria, Mr. Babatunde Abimbola, said he received a call five minutes after the accident, describing the death of Adeosun as shocking.
He said, "Sympathisers at the scene offered assistance to take the two victims to a nearby hospital but they were referred to UCH after they were rejected by about five hospitals. They were eventually admitted at UCH after much pleas."
Abimbola added that the incident affected distribution of newspapers for the day as vendors grieved over the death of Adeosun.
Chief Correspondent of the Nation in Ibadan, Bisi Oladele, expressed sadness on the incident, praying that God would grant the victim's family the fortitude to bear the loss.
He also prayed for quick recovery of the injured salesman.
"Our thoughts are with the Adeosun family at this critical time. Clearly, they raised a responsible, reliable, meek and a promising man. His contributions to the company would be remembered always." Oladele said.

Ex-worker alleges harassment after rejecting boss’ sexual advances

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 05:05 AM PST

Peace Gabriel
A former contract employee with Cormart Nigeria Limited, Peace Gabriel, has raised the alarm over an alleged attempt by her former supervisor, Mr. Patrick Ovie, to frame her for fraud.
Gabriel added that the development arose because she rejected Ovie's alleged sexual advances.
Olokunbola Metro gathered that Gabriel, a former merchandiser with Cormart, marketed the company's goods in Ikorodu, Oshodi, Victoria Island and Ejigbo during her two-year stay at the firm.
She said, "The way we work, we usually go out to look for anyone we can convince to buy Cormart products. After selling the products to such people, you wait for two weeks and then go to collect the money from your customers.
"But if you supplied goods to someone who bought in substantial quantity, you can give them the company form to fill and they would be given one month to make their payments."
Gabriel said some of her customers, whom she sold goods to worth over N200,000 at Ikorodu, however, absconded without paying. They were said to be traders whose shops were demolished following the expansion of the Ikorodu road.

She said, "When I sold the goods to them, I didn't know that they would be affected by the road project. When I returned after two weeks, I was shocked to discover that their shops had been destroyed. So I called them on the telephone and asked them how I could reach them. They assured me that the money would be paid into my account and afterwards switched off their phones. I have not been able to reach them ever since."
Olokunbola Metro gathered that it was a policy at Cormart for every marketer to make reports of bad debts to their supervisor who would then assist in recovering the debt. In the event the supervisor was unable to do so, he was required to make a report to his superiors who would then take action.
Gabriel, however, alleged that when she reported her situation to Ovie, he refused to act, but instead, threatened that she would lose her job if she didn't meet her monthly target. The problem was said to have begun in February 2013.
"I owed Cormart over N800,000 for the goods I had supplied. Since Ovie wasn't cooperating, I had to enlist the help of the Iyaloja (market leader) at Ikorodu Market to assist me in recovering some of the money from traders in the market. As for those whose shops were demolished, I could no longer trace them. Gradually, I was able to reduce the debt to N623,000. All the while, Ovie would tell me that if I could just have an affair with him, he would help me sort things out, but I rejected his advances.
"In April 2013, Ovie told me I could no longer make supplies to my customers in other parts of Lagos until all my debt had been paid. My guarantors were even invited to the company and together with another senior manager, Mr. Veejay, we all agreed that I would pay N35,000 every month until all the debt had been paid. Thinking that I would still retain my job, I didn't mind. My salary was N30,000 and I also received transport allowance of N12,000. So I thought the deduction would be made from my salary and that I would have some money left from my transport allowance to enable me move around."
However, Ovie was allegedly invited into the meeting and asked if he would like to continue working with Gabriel. When he refused,  Gabriel was dismissed on the spot.
"I was now out of a job and still had N623,000 to pay, but I kept at it. Presently what is left is N282,410. But all the while after I lost my job, Ovie kept harassing me. He would come to my sister's house where I lived, trail me to my church and make sexual overtures. When I didn't break under the pressure, he went to the Ajao Estate Police Division at Oshodi and reported me that I had defrauded the company. I was arrested and later bailed. Now he is insisting the matter be taken to court and I be charged for fraud. I never stole Cormart's products; I am just being punished because I didn't give in to Ovie," Gabriel said.
When Olokunbola Metro contacted the Head of Human Resources/Admin, Tropical General Investments, Dr. Ayo Iyiola, of which Cormart is a subsidiary, he said the case was no longer an issue for the company as Gabriel was no longer an employee.
Ovie on his part, however, said Gabriel had diverted the company's goods; he however agreed that Gabriel had made payments and that the balance was about N282,410.
He said, "I investigated and discovered she never supplied goods to any customer. She diverted them. Her guarantors were even invited to a meeting so we could work out a solution. Unfortunately, they never kept to the agreement to repay the money. It was so bad that I had to go to their church to see if I could get their church members to appeal to them.
I even went to her house to try and get her sister to see reason. It was when all this failed that I made a report at the station. As for the sexual advances, I have nothing to say about it. "
Calls made to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, rang out, while a text message to her telephone was not replied as of press time.

Man’s stomach ripped open during fight over woman

Posted: 02 Jan 2014 04:54 AM PST

TBS, the place where the incident occured.
Doctors at the Lagos Island General Hospital are battling to save the life of a 34-year-old man, identified only as Owuye, whose stomach was ripped open on New Year's Eve.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim and an elderly man, identified simply as Baba, were involved in a fight over a married woman.
Our correspondent, who visited Tafawa Balewa Square, where the incident took place, learnt that Owuye's intestines popped out, causing him to lose a lot of blood.
An eyewitness, who identified himself as Soji, said Owuye was the first to attack the elderly man.
He said both the victim and the elderly man were both jobless people who usually sleep in buses at TBS.
He said, "In the afternoon, we were arranging chairs at TBS for a church, which was planning to hold a watch night service, when we saw the both of them fighting.

"Apparently Baba was smooching a woman said to be around 50 years when Owuye caught them. Owuye was the first to attack the man. We pleaded with Owuye to leave Baba alone but he refused.
"Owuye broke a bottle on Baba's head and the man began to bleed profusely. When baba had recovered from Owuye's initial assault, he, in turn, stabbed him (Owuye) with a broken bottle in the stomach and his intestines fell out. Both victims held each other by the waistband as they bled."
PUNCH Metro learnt that in the ensuing pandemonium, the woman, whom the duo was fighting over, fled the scene.
It was learnt that the matter was immediately reported to a police post at the old National Assembly Complex at TBS and the elderly man was arrested and taken to the Lion Building Police Station.
A recharge card vendor at the scene said, "We pleaded with the duo to go to the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, for medical attention but they continued to fight.
"When Owuye collapsed, a tricycle was used in moving both of them to the hospital. A few hours later, we bought blood for Owuye. We have also been told to donate money for his treatment.
"I wonder why two grown men would be fighting over a married woman. Baba is even married with children. Owuye is a violent man and he wanted to have her all to himself."
Our correspondent, who visited the General Hospital on Wednesday, learnt that Owuye was still in critical condition.
A friend of Owuye, who spoke to our correspondent outside the hospital said, "Many people think he died but he is still alive. If not that the General Hospital is a few metres away from where he was stabbed, he would not have survived."
When contacted on the telephone, Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident adding that investigations were ongoing.
"We had a case of grievous harm. It involved two suspects that fought at TBS. Both were injured but one was stabbed in the stomach. They were rushed to the hospital where the stabbed suspect was admitted.
"However, the other suspect (Baba) is being detained at the Lion Building Police Station. Investigations are ongoing."

So THAT'S what he's getting up to in rehab! Chris Brown welcomes the New Year by putting on a PDA with Karrueche Tran

True love knows no barriers - even the ones set by a court-ordered residential rehab program.
Despite being in rehab, Chris Brown spent New Year's Day with his lady love Karrueche Tran, who paid a visit to the controversial hip-hop crooner.
The 25-year-old aspiring model tweeted out a photo of the couple as they frolicked in the grass outside of the clinic.
Both she and the 24-year-old singer are wearing traditional New Year's crowns as Tran sucks on Brown's tongue.

Brown began living at the rehab center after the singer was arrested on October 27 in Washington, DC on a misdemeanor assault charge.
Following the arrest, the singer faced jail time for violating his parole stemming from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown plead guilty to the assault on the Diamonds singer, for which he was placed on probation. The terms of his probation clearly stated that the singer was required to stay out of legal trouble.
On October 28, Brown voluntarily entered a Malibu rehab facility for treatment for his anger issues.
On December 16, a judge revoked Chris Brown's probation during a probation violation hearing due to his arrest in Washington.
As part of his punishment, Brown must complete 1,000 hours of community labor in addition to serving out his three-month stint in rehab.

The singer must also appear in court on February 17 where a hearing will decide if the troubled artist will serve jail time following his three-month stint in rehab.
Even during the intense high-drama that surrounded Brown in recent months, Tran opted to stand by her man, even accompanying him to the Los Angeles County courtroom from time to time.
Tran recently spent Christmas with Brown in the treatment facility, tweeting out a photo captioned: 'Merry Christmas from us.'

'She was going to tell him that he's the only one she wants and that she will do whatever it is he needs to make a relationship work.'

Airline passenger is tied up after arguing with cabin crew who kept catching him trying to smoke a cigarette during 7½ flight

A German man had to be tied up on board an airplane after he tried to smoke during the flight and got violent when staff tried to stop him.
Mathias Jorg, 54, lit up several times on a 7.5 hour flight from Singapore to Brisbane and had to be detained by staff after he allegedly became aggressive.
A photograph taken on the plane by a fellow passenger, show Mr Jorg with his legs and arms tied up, surrounded by cabin crew.

When the Emirates Air flight landed in Brisbane just after 1am on Thursday morning, Mr Jorg was taken into police custody.
He appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court later the same day, charged with one count of smoking on an aircraft, one count of assaulting crew and one count of assaulting crew affecting the performance of their duty.

Mr Jorg had to use a German interpreter during his court visit, and claimed that he had been injured during the restraining.
He has been allowed bail after promising to surrender his passport to the Australian Federal Police and make no applications for another, and that he would not leave Australia or go within 100 metres of any place of international departure.
On bail: Mr Jorg appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, wearing plasters on his wrists and with a bruised forehead, where he had to relinquish his German passport

Although he initially protested through his interpreter, explaining that he didn't 'trust' the conditions of the court, he eventually agreed to give up his passport, Courier Mail reports.
He will appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court again on January 10.
Although there is no internationally agreed convention covering restraining passengers on airplanes, what cabin crews are allowed to do to control unruly passengers is governed by the laws of the country where the airplane is registered.
The decision to restrain a passenger is in the hands of the captain, who also must notify authorities at the destination and give the reason for the restraint.

A little girl has undergone plastic surgery after part of her mouth was ripped off by a dog in a Christmas Day attack.
Six-year-old Demi Baines was walking to her home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, with mother Karen Baines when she was mauled by the Staffordshire bull terrier.
Ms Baines described how the dog launched at her daughter and attached itself to her face – leaving the little girl with horrifying facial injuries which included a severed lip.

Demi was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where plastic surgeons have worked to reconstruct her mouth in two separate operations.
Mother-of-three Ms Baines, 36, said: 'I feared for Demi's life – I thought she could have been killed.
'It was the most scary, terrible thing I have ever experienced.

'Demi's injuries were horrific. They were something you wouldn't even see in a horror movie.
'Her bottom lip was hanging off and the left hand side of her top lip was near enough gone.'

Ms Baines added that Demi also had a chunk taken out of her arm and an injury to her back. The youngster is set to undergo another operation on her face later this week.
Call centre worker Ms Baines said: 'Demi has been so brave. She has been absolutely amazing.
'She hasn't moaned about it at all but she's wary of the neighbours' dogs now.'
The shocking incident happened in Gair Street, Flowery Field, on Christmas Day shortly after 6pm as Karen and Demi walked to their home on Well Meadow from a family party nearby.
Ms Baines said the dog appeared from a field and, although appeared friendly at first, launched the attack without provocation.

She claimed the dog's owner also assaulted her as she tried to pull the animal off her daughter during the chaotic incident, which police are now investigating.
A 70-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place and bailed until February.
The Staffordshire bull terrier has been seized by police under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
A police spokesman said: 'Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.'

Dear OBB readers: Am I wasting my time with this man?

From a female OBB reader
Please I need your opinion on something that is keeping me up at night. I met my boyfriend in November 2010 and after only four months of dating he proposed to me on Valentine's Day in 2011. I was really excited and believed he didn't want to waste time and was eager to marry me. But it's going to three years now since we got engaged and he hasn't said anything about a wedding. Every time I mention it he tells me I'm acting desperate that I should calm down that if he didn't want to marry me he would not have given me a ring. We are both over 30 so I don't understand the delay. What bothers me most is that he's not even talking about it. I suggested we get married the last week of December 2013 so we can begin a new life in 2014 but he said he will let me know when he's ready. Should I give him an ultimatum or just be patient?

Awolowo was greater than Mandela, writer/poet Odia Ofeimun says

In an interview with Sahara TV, the writer, poet & social critique said late premier of the old Western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was a greater man than South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, Dr. Nelson Mandela.
I am too much of an Awolowo man not to see that the process of moving into independence in South Africa and in Nigeria followed exactly the same pattern. It was based on a negotiated settlement. The liberation struggle did not create the end of apartheid. It was a negotiation and Nigerians negotiated exactly the way Mandela negotiated.
"You can hype it if you like, but the pattern was exactly the same. You move from one meeting to the other, discussing politics and economics, and they successfully convinced Mandela to buy the pig in a poke of an economy and they also successfully succeeded in convincing Nigerians to buy the pig in a poke of an economy.
"The only man in Nigeria, who stood up against it, was (Obafemi) Awolowo. He was quickly jailed and all his men scattered across the prisons in Nigeria. Some driven abroad and the educational system that he had put in place was smashed." Ofeimun said
"People talk about Mandela's capacity to put various classes (of people) together as theory, but Awolowo ironed it out very clearly, why you don't need a class struggle, in order to create a society in which all children can go to school; in which everybody can get a job, and in which old age pensions will be paid to people.
"It is not just love and I want to emphasise that. Those who criticise Awolowo's socialism for wanting in love are obviously basing their argument on his claim that a government should be like a sun that shines on all equally. If it is about a theory of how to bring the people together on the African continent, none is as good as the Awolowo's and I'm not trying to pretend.
"Bring all their writings, fine phrases, alright, but reduce them to economic terms, and I can tell you that there is only one man who rivals Awolowo in this respect and that is Nkrumah. Unfortunately unlike Awolowo, Nkrumah did not believe in either a democratic or a federal theory. If you want to save Africa, you need those two."
Ofeimun said he chose Awolowo over Mandela because..
"The simple reason is that what needed to be done in South Africa, after apartheid was precisely what Awolowo wanted for Western Region and Nigeria after independence. Which is to say put every child at school, ensure that productivity takes the creativity of the individual citizen into proper focus and build the relationship between people and not on whether they did not love each other? But whether there is justice and equality."
